From one photo to a Reel in one tap

The practical guide to your first trend video: which photo to pick, which frame to choose, and what to do when the result misses.

The first run is where most people either fall in love with this tool or give up on it. The difference is almost always the photo.

Pick the photo for the model, not for the feed

A trend video is built around a face. The model needs to see that face clearly enough to reproduce it in every frame. So the best photo is boring:

  • Sharp, not a screenshot of a screenshot.
  • Face large in the frame, turned toward the camera.
  • Even light, no heavy shadows across the eyes.
  • No sunglasses, no mask, no hand over the mouth.
  • For pets: the whole body in view, at least one clear look at the face.

A cinematic portrait with dramatic side light is worse than a plain selfie in a bright room. The model is not judging your photography.

Choose the frame deliberately

Most templates offer two frames:

| Frame | Best for | Trade-off | | ------------- | --------------------- | ----------------------------- | | Vertical 9:16 | TikTok, Reels, Shorts | The full scene, highest price | | Square 1:1 | Feed posts, reposts | Shorter clip, cheaper |

Start vertical if the video is going to be posted as a Reel. Pick square when you want a cheaper test run or when the template's composition reads better in a square crop.

What to check in the result

Run the video once and watch it without pausing. Then check three things:

  1. The face. Does it stay your face for the whole clip, including the close-up?
  2. The clothes. Did the outfit survive, or did the model drift back to the reference clip's wardrobe?
  3. The hands and props. Extra fingers and disappearing objects are the classic tells.

If one of those is off, re-run with a clearer photo before you change anything else. Most “bad output” reports are photo problems, not model problems.

When it fails

Some photos get refused — by the provider's safety filter or by the model itself. When that happens the run fails and its credits are returned automatically. Try a different photo; there is no penalty beyond the wait.

A small checklist before you post

  • Download the MP4 (no watermark).
  • Add the trending sound in the posting app if the template's audio is not the sound you want.
  • Keep the platform's AI label on.
  • Tag the friend who needs to see it.

That is the whole workflow: one photo, one tap, one download. The rest is choosing the right trend.
